Expressions of interest - Clinical Trial Project Officers
STAREE is a double-blind, randomised primary prevention trial investigating whether daily actice treatment of atorvastatin versus placebo will enhance disbility free survival (death dementia and disability) and prevent major cardiovascular utcomes in healthy participants aged 70 years and over . The trial is primarily funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia.

The Opportunity:
Monash University is seeking Expressions of interest for Full-time and Part-time Clinical Trial Project Officers to join the 'STAtins in Reducing Events in the Elderly' (STAREE) clinical trial. A number of positions are available and will be located in either Melbourne , Bendigo , Gippsland or Mildura (Victoria), Burnie or Hobart (Tasmania) or Newcastle (NSW)
The main responsibility of the project officers will be directly supporting the STAREE principal investigators and project manager in all aspects of conduct and implementation of the clinical trial. The Project officers will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders , including physicians and nursing staff at general practices and/or hospitals ad trial participants.

The Bendigo Primary Care Centre provides multi-professional care for patients and a stimulating workplace for our staff. Our team includes GPs, nursing and allied health professionals all of whom take part in our teaching and learning program. We offer placements for GP registrars and, in partnership with Bendigo Health, Pre-vocational General Practice Placement Program (PGPPP) residents and interns. We also host a range of undergraduate students in medicine, nursing and allied health professions, as well as medical administration/reception students.
