Ray has worked in general practice for more than 30 years, much of this in Bendigo. He has specific clinical interests in aged care, work-related injuries (Workcover), mental health, and chronic pain management.

Ray has also been involved in medical education with the GP training program for 20 years. He is a senior examiner for the Royal Australian College of GPs and holds an academic position with Monash University Bendigo Regional Clinical School. He has been involved in the development of the Bendigo Primary Care Centre since its inception, bringing his experience as an operator of small and large practices.

Dennis graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1982.He joined David McAlpine at the Strathfieldsaye Medical Practice in 1986 and practised there for 25 years. As well as pursuing interests in obstetrics and musculoskeletal medicine, Dennis has been active in teaching. He is the Year 4 GP Coordinator for the Monash University Bendigo Regional Clinical School and lectures to pharmacy and dentistry students at La Trobe University.

A keen interest in local sport has kept Dennis busy in the community coaching numerous cricket, football and netball teams. His services have been recognised by a 10 year award for service to Australian football, and life memberships of the Pioneers Football Club and United Cricket Club. He served as chair of the Catholic College Council for six years.

Mr Anthony Clough
MBBS FRACS GradCert (Health Stats)
General, Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgeon

Anthony trained in general surgery at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne achieving his FRACS qualification in 2007. He then spent a year in Queensland working at a high volume bariatric and upper gastrointestinal centre, and a year in Sydney at a busy oesophagogastric and bariatric unit at a prominent Sydney tertiary centre. In 2010 he visited surgeons in Los Angeles and New York for further specialist experience.

Anthony’s primary interest is in minimally invasive surgery applied to the stomach and oesophagus as well as hernia and gallbladder surgery. In Bendigo he is offering a consultative service in bariatric or weight loss surgery based around sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and gastric banding surgery as well as revisional procedures.

Dr Janaka Tennakoon

 Dr Tennakoon is a General Paediatrician with special areas of interest in Endocrine and Diabetes, Neuro-Development/Behavioural issues and therefore offer a wide variety of paediatric experience and expertise. He also conducts special diabetes and endocrine clinics in Mildura.

Peter Mac Familial Cancer Clinic

The Familial Cancer Centre is a clinic that provides genetic counselling, medical advice and psycological support to individuals and their families who are concerned about their familys history of cancer.

You will need a referral from your doctor or specialist, the genetic counsellor will telephone you to discuss your concerns, and to collect information from you about the members of your family that have had cancer. If we assess that your family has an increased risk of developing cancer, you will be offered an appointment at FCC
